Title: Fabulous Staff and room...Noisy location

Review: We recently stayed at B&B Savoia for the first 2 nights of our honeymoon. Augusto provided excellent directions and we found the hotel without a problem from Termini Train Station. He and Antonio were at the the B&B when we arrived. Our room was ready and waiting when we got there and both Augusto and Antonio spent ample time with us to answer all our questions, make recommendations, and take info to make dinner reservations for us the following night. They both speak English well so there was no problem communicating.
Our room (Magnolia) was massive and spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. The bed was comfortable and we had plenty of extra blankets which we needed because the nights were chilly. In the kitchen, we had designated shelves both in the refrigerator and cabinet for any groceries we might buy. There was plenty of coffee, tea, and snacks available at all times too.
The B&B was lovely and the staff were warm, inviting, and helpful with all our needs/requests. The only drawback was the neighborhood noise. The B&B is located in a residential area which was lovely and safe but the trash trucks came around at 2:30 - 3:00 each morning to empty the massive dumpsters that line the streets. It was so maddeningly loud that both my husband and I were awake all night. I'm not sure if this is a regular occurrence but it was extremely frustrating not being able to sleep. We come from the city so are used to noise but this was unbelievable.
Other than that, we were very happy with our stay at the B&B Savoia. It was a GREAT value for the money with huge rooms and was impeccably clean.
* Liked — Room size, cleanliness, great staff
* Disliked — neighborhood noise at night

Hi JMR5122,
This is Augusto Fagioli, from theh B&B Savoia.
I want to thank you a lot for writing your review at trip advisor [http://rome-hotels.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g187791-d736597-r208…] about my place
I really appreciate it!
About this review, I have to ask a couple of things:
1. can you please complete your review with the name of the Room where you slept. We have 3 differents rooms, facing differently the outside of the building, with conseguent different noise level for each room.
2. can you please remove the word "Noisy" from the review title. That word exposed as title can give the idea of a place probably with a bit more noise that Via Savoia.
As you probably remember, Via Savoia is a very calm and exclusive residential street with 99% of apartments, and just a few shops.
You can of course give more details about the noise issue you had inside the body of the review itself, eventually writing the name of the room where you slept
I really thank you a lot for understanding the reason I'm asking you to update your review. We work hard at the B&B Savoia, and a simple misunderstanding like this "noise" may keep away people from asking for my place.
Please feel free to ask for any information about
At today [1st april 2008] , we're planning to add a double glass to the old wooden windows we have at the B&B Savoia.
Let's hope in the meantime we will reveice some news from JMR5122
bye for now
Augusto
